Trial Begins for dispensary manager

In San Diego, A trial is beginning for a dispensary manager which the DA claims is selling marijuana for profit. Under California state law, organization’s called collectives are legally allowed to sell pot for medical purposes to individuals with the proper documentation. The detectives are claiming that they bought pot from him on multiple occasions, and were forced to pay a membership fee which they claim violates the law. The defense attorney on the case claims that membership fees can legally be connected, as long as they go towards the cultivation costs of the dispensary.

With the recent news of he Los Angeles DA declaring war on these types of dispensaries, but Obama asking the federal government to stop going after them, it seems that the state of medical marijuana is in a constant flux.
